PA Made
PA Made is a state-wide initiative focused on expanding our state’s manufacturing base — resulting in private sector growth, more family-sustaining jobs, and a rising tax base. And, this happens quickly, because our manufacturing companies are in place and ready to gear up.
Manufacturing (all sub-sectors combined, including food processing) is already the single largest sector of Pennsylvania’s economy, accounting for approximately 14% of the gross state product (GSP) in 2008.
Despite national news reports that decry the shift to manufacturing overseas, many companies in Pennsylvania are finding ways to adapt, thrive and grow through the challenges. Developing innovative new products, streamlining processes, and increased employee training have helped many companies stay successful.
The pay-offs for families, companies, and the state as a whole have been tremendous.

It’s crucial that policymakers recognize the importance of manufacturing to our state – now and in the future.
